Peer Review Policy

Double-Blind Peer Review

The Journal of Chemistry and Environmental Research follows a rigorous and transparent double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of all submitted manuscripts. Both the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential to maintain an unbiased and fair evaluation.

Initial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to assess their suitability with respect to the journal's scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then assigned to expert reviewers in the relevant field.

Review Process

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers, who evaluate the work based on the following criteria:

Originality

Novelty and significance of the research

Methodology

Appropriateness and execution

Scientific Accuracy

Validity of data and conclusions

Clarity

Quality of presentation and language

Relevance

Alignment with journal scope

Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' comments, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:

Accept

Accept as is

Minor Revision

Minor corrections required

Major Revision

Substantial changes required

Rejection

Not suitable for publication

Authors are required to address all reviewer comments carefully and resubmit revised manuscripts within the stipulated time frame.

Review Timeline: The journal strives to complete the review process in a timely manner, typically within 2 to 4 weeks, although this may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript and reviewer availability.

Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest

All manuscripts and associated data are treated as confidential. Reviewers must not disclose or use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. Any potential conflicts of interest must be declared, and reviewers should recuse themselves if necessary.

The final decision regarding publication rests with the editorial board, ensuring that all accepted articles meet the journal's standards of quality, integrity, and academic excellence.
