Conflict of Interest Policy
Commitment to Transparency
The Journal of Chemistry and Environmental Research is committed to maintaining transparency and integrity in the publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence, or be perceived to influence, the research and its interpretation.
Sources of Conflict
A conflict of interest may arise from financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could affect the objectivity of the work.
Financial
Funding sources, stock ownership, patents, or consulting fees
Professional
Career advancement, competition, or collaborative relationships
Institutional
Affiliation with organizations that may benefit from the research
Personal
Family relationships, personal beliefs, or other close associations
Author Responsibilities
Authors must clearly state any relevant conflicts, including funding sources, affiliations, or financial interests, at the time of manuscript submission. If no conflicts exist, authors should explicitly declare that there is no conflict of interest.
Sample Declaration: "The authors declare no conflict of interest." or "Author A received research funding from XYZ Corporation. Author B serves on the advisory board of ABC Institute."
Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities
Reviewers and editors are also expected to disclose any conflicts that could compromise their impartiality. In such cases, they should recuse themselves from the review or decision-making process to ensure a fair and unbiased evaluation.
Handling of Disclosed Conflicts
All disclosed conflicts will be handled in accordance with established ethical guidelines. The journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, including rejection or retraction of articles, if undisclosed conflicts of interest are identified after publication.
By adhering to this policy, the journal aims to uphold the highest standards of ethical publishing and to ensure trust in the scientific record.
